Dr Charlie Easmon MBBS MRCP MSc Public Health DTM&H DoccMed DFPH
Dr Easmon trained at St George's. London. He did his elective in Ghana (his country of birth) and has since worked with, among others, Raleigh International and Save the Children in Rwanda, and ECHO in Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
With the Foreign Office he has visited Egypt, Israel, Tunisia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines.
His route in to travel medicine and public health was through medical evacuations, working abroad and stints at the Hospital for Tropical Disease's travel clinic. He enjoyed several years on the board of the British Travel Health Association and is one of the few UK medical practitioners to have obtained the International Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Health.
In October 2002 Dr Easmon set up a private services for out-going and in-coming travellers, Travel Screening Services, based at Number One Harley Street which became The Number One Health Group.
Dr Johann Carinus MBChB Dip Occ Med
Dr Carinus trained at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and did his elective at the Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town in 1980.
As part of the then compulsive military service in South Africa, he worked in anaesthetics at the 2 Military Hospital in Cape Town for 4 years.
He then went into Private General Practice in Otjiwarongo in the north of Namibia where he developed a passion for the Namib Desert.
He then moved back to South Africa in 1986 and joined the Private General Practice in the town called Ceres, about 130km from Cape Town. This is where he did GP work for the next 19 years as principle partner. He also managed the local government hospital part time for 15 years.
In December 2004 Dr Carinus immigrated to the UK and settled in the Docklands. Apart from the significant GP experience of 20 years, he specialises in health assessments, travel medicine and sexual health. He joined Number One Harley Street in the first half of 2007.
Dr. Reval Sukkhu MBCHB
Dr Sukkhu was born and educated in South Africa. He graduated in 2000 and has since worked in multiple medical specialities in Africa and the UK. He was part of the Red Cross Flying Doctor Programme in 2004, delivering anaesthesia and emergency care to rural areas of Southern Africa and continues his charitable work as a Doctor with Medicines Du Monde, Project:London He has a particular interest in Psychiatry, Tropical Disease and Human Rights. He continues to work within the NHS in these fields. He joined Number One Health in 2005.
Dr Pao trained at Guy's, King's and St. Thomas' Medical School in London and qualified in 2003. She has since worked in London hospitals to gain experience in Paediatrics, Psychiatry, General Medicine and A&E. She has achieved the Membership to the Royal College of General Practitioners in July 2007. She currently works in a variety of settings including private and NHS GP practices, walk-in centres, GP out of hours work, as well as at the Number One Health Group’.
Dr Leon Stehle graduated in Dec. 2000 from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, then worked as junior doctor in hospitals for 2 years. Came to UK in 2003, did A&E in southeast London for 2 1/2 years, before joining the private sector as a G.P., and have worked in a few city practises since then. Joined NOH April 2007.
Member of the BMA/Royal Society of Medicine. Currently studying towards a postgraduate diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine, Queen Mary University, London part-time.
Interests are in sports related injuries and orthopaedics.
Dr Susumu Okajima MD PhD FRCS (England) FICS (USA) also Specialist Fellowships from JSS (Japan Surgery Society), JGESS (Japan Gastroenterology Surgery Society) and Japan Breast Cancer Society (JBCS)
Dr Okajima graduated from Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan, and completed postgraduate training at Hokkaido University General Hospital along with scientific research for PhD at the Department of Surgical Oncology, Cancer Medicine Division of the University.
After years as a Director of General Surgery of Kuriyama Red-Cross Hospital, Japan, he moved to UK in 2001 to be a chief medical officer of Japan Green Medical Centre, London, where he developed how to apply highly advanced international medical in UK. His main interests include cancer treatment, screening and obesity management. He has joined Dr Easmon's NOH medical team since 2007. He also has been associated to Renal Transplant Unit, Hammersmith Hospital, NHS Trust.
