PLEASE NOTE- Your New Zealand visa medical from 1st May 2010 requires a FASTING test of your blood for glucose and lipid profile. We believe this is very impractical for many of you and for us. We suggest we take your blood as normal. In most cases the UNFASTING results will be normal, in some cases, your test results for glucose or lipids will be high and these then DO NEED a FASTING level done. If this happens we will inform you and recommend that you have the FASTING blood taken at Quest laboratories at 10 Upper Wimpole Street London W1G 6LL, Monday to Friday 0800 -1800 and Saturdays 0900 – 1300. We will have faxed the request form to Quest.
You will need to:
1) Book in (tel.: 0207 535 1920)
2) Fast the night before
3) Pay Quest.
The FASTING results will be sent to us to add to your file. If these remain ABNORMAL we will let you know so that you can inform your GP but the paperwork will then be ready for you to collect for New Zealand.
However, if you absolutely want to do the fasting test, you will need to fast from Midnight the day before the appointment (no food and only water from that time until the blood is taken!)
You can make an appointment by calling Diagnostic Radiology at 126 Harley Street 0207 935 4072. Your x-ray will cost £ 50 - £60. Your radiology report forms are also available at the Diagnostic radiology: these will be completed and brought here with the X-ray.
4. How much is postage and packing?
If you collect your results obviously nothing.
Administration/International Courier Charges - £40.70

NB: Please do not call us for results on your blood tests or X-Ray. We will contact you if there is a problem with any of your results or X-Ray. Are we waiting for a doctor's letter?
- During your medical the doctor may have asked for further detail about your medical history in the form of a report or summary from your GP or specialist.
This information must then be faxed and / or posted to the clinic by your GP or Specialist as soon as possible - you will need to organise this with them.
- Please ensure you also keep a personal copy of any information you send.
